What happens in poor weather?
There is enough shelter onboard and we have had a full cruise of 28 guests all undercover before. We don't let a little rain spoil the fun! If it's considered dangerous due to storms we will consult you about a new date. However many guests don't even mind if it's a little rainy though as they normally get wet anyway jumping in the harbour!
+
Are plates, glasses / cups, cutlery included?
For sure. Bluey makes it easy. You’ll have disposable cups, plates, and cutlery onboard, along with serving trays, cheese boards, and basic condiments. There are also a few wine glasses available if you want to keep things a bit classy
+
Are BYO spirits allowed?
Yes
+
Is ice provided onboard?
No, please bring your own.
+
Is there a BBQ onboard?
There is and it’s a crowd favourite! Even better, the crew will happily cook your food for you, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the day without worrying about the grill.
+
Is drinking water included?
BYO drinking water if required
+
What cool storage is there onboard?
Bluey comes with a large 110L esky plus a few extras, so there’s plenty of space to keep your drinks cold. Just bring your own ice and you’re good to go.
+
Can I dropoff supplies at the boat before the charter?
(subject to boat availability) $250 fee from Elizabeth MacArthur Pontoon an hour prior to the charter
+
Are glass bottles allowed onboard or just cans?
Glass bottles are allowed but consider bringing cans since they are lighter and safer since they won't smash.
+
Does the boat provide napkins/serviettes?
This is a consumable so we recommend bringing your own for BYO Charters.

Wharf Availability Advisory
Sydney Harbour has limited commercial wharves, many of which must be booked in advance. Availability, especially in the CBD, is limited and cannot be guaranteed - it is best to secure the wharf of your choice immediately once you decide to book.
If your preferred wharf is unavailable, the Operator will advise available alternatives, which may include a different location or a change to departure or return time.
Popular CBD wharves (including King Street Wharf and The Star Casino) often have restricted availability. Aquarium Wharf, Pirrama Park, Double Bay, and Rose Bay may experience delays, and charter time is not usually extended to compensate.
Once a charter has departed, there is generally no opportunity to return to the wharf for late guests. Organisers should ensure guests arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
Wharves may be closed or restricted without notice by Transport for NSW / NSW Maritime due to maintenance or operational requirements. While outside our control, we will assist with suitable alternatives where possible.
+
Can you accommodate special dietary needs, allergies, or specific food safety concerns?
We do our best to work with our suppliers to accommodate various dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). However, because our food is sourced externally, we cannot guarantee a 100% nut-free environment or the complete absence of allergens such as gluten. We encourage you to let us know in advance about any serious allergies or dietary needs so we can liaise with our caterers.
If your charter is BYO (Bring Your Own) catering, please note that we are not responsible for the quality, storage, or safety of food or beverages brought on board by guests. We recommend following proper food-handling practices for any items you bring.
If you or your guests have any significant concerns or severe allergies, please contact us so we can discuss the best way to address them.
+
What is the bond for?
The bond is taken incase there are damages caused by your group during your charter.
The no.1 cause for bond claims is broken toilets so please tell your guests not to flush things like wipes or tampons down the toilets - just a small amount of toilet paper is Ok.
Vomiting around the boat will incur fees. Don't bring Sparklers, confetti balloons, glitter (candles by request only) as they will stain the boat.
+
Can we bring a baby? Is there an age limit? Are they counted as guests?
Yes babies are allowed onboard - there is no age limit. Yes, kids of all ages are included in your guest count.
If you have young kids coming, please let us know in advance.

However many guests don't even mind if it's a little rainy though as they normally get wet anyway jumping in the harbour!
+
Are there any water toys onboard?
Absolutely! Bluey is all about fun on the water. You’ll have access to a large floating lily pad and a hammock-style net at the front perfect for lounging or jumping straight into the harbour. Sometimes a few extra inflatibles are onboard so for water based fun you can't go past Bluey.
+
Smoking - is it permitted and are there any restrictions?
Vapes are OK and prefer no cigarettes. Only at very stern of vessel, starboard side.
+
Is there a sound system and what connectivity is there?
Of course! Bluey has a quality Bluetooth sound system, so you can connect your phone and play your own music. There are even extra speakers up the front. It's perfect for keeping the vibe going across the whole boat
+
Can we have a DJ?
You can but it does take a bit of planning. There’s enough power onboard, but DJs will need to bring their own equipment. Timing and wharf access can be tight at busy spots, so it’s best to chat with the team beforehand to organise the smoothest setup.
+
Is swimming allowed?
Yes, swimming is a big part of the Bluey experience! During the day it’s easy to jump in and cool off. For evening cruises, it depends on conditions, but your skipper will always look for a safe spot.
+
Footwear - are there any restrictions?
You can wear any shoes you wish but high heels are not ideal as unstable so if wearing these we suggest removing and going barefoot.
+
Where can we pickup and dropoff?
Many locations around the harbour. Please ask us at the time of booking. The most popular wharf is Kings St wharf, Darling harbour so this gets booked out on popular days. Nearby in Pyrmont is very good as an alternative like Elizabeth MacArthur Pontoon. We also pick up from Rose Bay.
+
Are there any additional rules that apply to specific events (eg 21st Birthdays)?
+
Any other rules the organisers and guests should know?
Bucks parties/18-24th Birthdays might not be permitted on this boat. Please talk to our staff prior to booking
