Cockle Bay Marina
Like King Street Wharf, Cockle Bay Marina is one of the nicest wharves to start a cruise from, being in the heart of Darling Harbour. Not only is it super convenient, but there are also plenty of options if you want to grab dinner or drinks at the many waterfront bars, clubs and restaurants. The Sydney Convention Centre (SCC) is also easy walking distance. Sailing boats generally can't access this wharf due to Pyrmont Bridge.
1. Getting There
Right in Darling Harbour next to the restaurants and ICC. It’s well signposted, with multiple marina pontoons — we’ll confirm your exact pickup. Arrive 15–20 mins early. If guests are late, the skipper may need to depart on time.
2. Parking
Secure parking at ICC / Darling Quarter nearby. Expect $10–$25/hr depending on time, with some weekend flat rates. Event days (Vivid, NYE) get busy. Limited coach drop-off space only.
3. Public Transport
Town Hall or Wynyard stations are about a 10–15 min walk. Light rail runs nearby. Very easy access at night.
4. Local Amenities
Right in the heart of the city so there's plenty of bars, restaurants and bottle shops close by. Just note the drinks cost more so better to buy closer to home if possible. Ice is easy to grab nearby. Uber Eats can deliver to the marina entrance.
5. Loading & Logistics
Trolleys are fine along the promenade. Vehicle access is limited but manageable for quick drop-offs. Time limits apply at marina berths — please be ready before departure.
Yes, wharf fees start from around $30 per stop.
